Anybody planning to attend the GNC in Topeka on July 4? Sheryll and I are planning to be there and were wondering if anybody else from around here is also planning on attending.

I'll be there w/ pit man Charlie. I'm sure we'll see some familiar faces there. This will be my first GNC race. Can't wait to see some of the new machines on the track. Lineweaver's BMW and #13 Dan Gedeon's Triumph should be there... Yee Haw!
Wish they were running the Basic Expert class there too.

The Kassebaum Clan will be there, just look for the hillbilly hilton. I called Heartland Park and camping on the grounds is free. There are no electrical hookups but then that is why we have generators. We are planning on going Thursday nite and staying until Saturday. Sounds like a good excuse for a barbecue to me?? Anybody interested?

My mom and I will be there for sure. Stop by AIR's tent and pick up a couple of the quilt raffle tickets we have for sale or a t-shirt. All proceeds will go to the riders if they are injured. ;D

Well we are planning to leave Du Quoin on Friday morning and head to Topeka. Now that is my plan, depending on how little man is doing at Nationals we maybe sticking around for the last race on Friday. Hopefully he has a strong week but is ready to go watch the big boys race. Kassebaum thanks for the heads up on the camping.

I'd sure like to meet some folks and look at bikes first-hand. Anyone know how they do pit access at the GNC races?
Someone told me they might only open the pits after the show...
Thx, Kyle#44x

The pits are always open after the last main event. Sometimes depending on promoter and time they will have open pit between qualifying and opening ceremonies...they usually will send out the schedule closer to the race date. If I get it I'll post it.

Hey Thanks! I finally ordered my tickets and was checking out the HPT website. According to their schedule they are running the Expert Twins class too? I didn't see that on the schedule earlier... I want to see that Aprilia 550 get 'er done. Also said they will be running on the new 3/8ths mile track? Must be a typo? Maybe I read too much and just need to relax... Kyle#44x

Breathe easy Kyle..... Maybe you should ride a thumper for a while to clear your head of all that blue smoke... Just kidding.
Bomber, I plan to bring whoever I can fit in the airplane. We'll look for the smoke signals and follow 'em in. Make sure you have enough. My pit man TJ has been fighting floods in IA with the national guard, he'll be ready for some downhome BBQ...
Looking forward to it, see you guys at Jeeps next Sat and Topeka on the 4th!!!!!!!!!

Ok Crew, there is no doubt that this plan is coming together!! If you are coming to the Barbecue before and after the races send me an e-mail @ superfoot@alltel.net with how many you are bringingand when, We will stock up on food and I will bring my famous mint julip. Many of you have seen the Hillbilly Hilton, it is the same 30' motorhome that I bring to the races, 42 county NE plates, Pikes Peak bumber sticker on it, and flying Old Glory should be pretty easy to find. My cell is 402-469-7075, my wife Jackie's is 402-469-7076. There are fireworks after the show, should be a good time to burn some meat and share some drink. We will have videos for the kids and plenty of bench racing and lie telling for the adults. I look forward to seeing all of you there.
