I'd sure like to meet some folks and look at bikes first-hand. Anyone know how they do pit access at the GNC races? Someone told me they might only open the pits after the show... Thx, Kyle#44x Hey, I can help on this question. Pit access seems to be different from venue to venue. Heartland Park Topeka is going to have pit access during the races. It's available in two forms. It's free if one purchases their tickets in advance. During the day of the event, it's $5. I think that if you buy your October 4th tickets when you buy your July 4th tickets from the ticket office right there on July 4th, you'll get your pit passes for free for both events. Do I understand your last post right? The pits will be open to spectators during the race. At every Grand National race I've ever been to you have to purchase a pass from the AMA only. You have to be a card holder over the age of 18 only. The AMA opens the pits at certain times before and after the race for fans. Correct me if I got this wrong, but it seems like you are saying that the fans will be in the pits during the entire race. If this is right I think you will have a lot of teed off racers and techs, not to mention the danger to the fans and riders.

I think the pits are only open between qualifying and the heat races. Like 5:30 to 7:00 or so... I saw a schedule somewhere, maybe the AMA website?

Also the breakfast will be held July 5th 2008 at 930am. I'm unsure of what it will cost the fans to eat. The GNC riders will eat free, I've sent out emails to all that I have an email address for. This is an awesome chance to eat and hang out with your favorite rider as well  |
