Dee and I plan to run our GNC H-D at HPT. Hopefully our rider will be expert Ion Stear #59p from Harvard, Il.. Our schedule is very limited $$$ and fuel prices. We have great help from Tim Lindfors Salina Harley Davidson and tremendous help wrenching from Steve Bigsby of Lawerence. If you're in the pit area say hello to Ion. He kinda' looks like Jeff Gordon. [glow=red,2,300]I just received an email from the promoter and AIR will be able to set up so stop by and say hi! I wanted to plan an autograph session but with it being on a Friday and the 4th of July it would be too tough. But we are going to talk to some people and try and make one happen in October if everything pans out.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there![/glow] ;D

Rodney, It's been a real pleasure working with you on your bike. You are a true gentleman of our sport. Say Hi to Dee.

To Biggs and all,
We're just a little poor team in a big expensive sport. Let's have some fun! See ya Sunday at Kansas Speedway.

Really looking forward to seeing Ion at Heartland Park Topeka. Is everyone going over to the breakfast with the riders over at Topeka Harley-Davidson on the morning of the 5th? I don't know any details, but I tried to tell Ion that he was invited. He sounded confused. Maybe he just needs some good Kansas bacon to get him straightend out...LOL!

Scott, the bike show was the best. Like an international show. I was a little over come from the heat Sunday . I went to ER this AM and they gave me 2 bags of fluids. I won't be at the races but Steve will have the bike there for Ion. I'll try to get Ion to the breakfast Saturday or is it Friday? He's so humble. HPT people are first class. Back to bed.

Hey Super Dave, I feel much better today. They tell me to stay home out of the heat next Friday. I think I will fine by then. It was great fun last Sunday. Steve Bigsby won the Competition Class with his beautiful Champion XS 700 Yamaha. Lee Cowie photographed Steve's motorcycle to be in Classic Bike Magizine in an up coming issue. This will be the best 4th of July ever. The return of GNC flattrack racing in Topeka. Tradition revived. See ya Friday.

Good to hear that you're doing better. As for the tradition of July 4th at Topeka, I'm just learning that lore myself from the Kansas Short Grass Motocycle Club stuff. I think we're meeting Stan tomorrow at the track. Looking forward to seeing Ion when he arrives too. I mentioned to him about the racers breakfast on Saturday at Topeka Harley-Davidson. I think that's at 930 on Saturday.
