Just checking in to see how the trip to Little Rock went. I had a wonderful weekend training my soldiers day/night orientiering. We walked about 7.3 miles doing those tasks and then woke up this morning and did a wonderful 10 mile road march. >>>Just thought I would let you all know that I had plenty of time out in the woods to wish I was running my bike in circles<<< So how did it go?

Yeah, whats up? I thought I saw that Saturday got cancelled, or was that Sunday? I know they raced the Pro's Friday night. The weekend was a blur, but I got my fancy new race bike now... So look out TJ! Kyle#44x

The $64,000.00 ??
Since this was a scheduled GPFTS 2-day event, will we be considering a make up date for the same (or other) location?
June 6th and the hot shoe national is a long ways away, too long.

Kyle, Looks like you came up to Iowa and bought that Dallas Baker framed XL-XR250S. Not positive, but I think a 79-82 XR-XL500 will bolt right in that setup. Nice little motors, 'bout the only thing we could break was the top of the rod at VERY high rpm. Know a fellow who not only got his novice points on one of those but was midwest highpoint novice and IMDA high point novice back in '83. To put that in perspective, we ran against ALL 250 2strokes. Pat Orman. p.s. do I get the prize?

Tease just the back side is all we get. Hey that's an interesting shock mounting, what's the deal or advantage with that?

Hey BG, some guys appreciate a nice "backside" LOL Pat, I seriously think you need a new hobby if you can recognize a bike like that. You and my dad, I swear...... It was nice seeing you in Little Rock. Hope you got out before it became a Little Lake. ;D

Here is a "police sketch artist" rendering of what the rest of that bike would look like.... Close? ? Pat and Tom aren't the only wierdos around!!! While I was at the police station I saw a WANTED poster with this picture. This guy is wanted for "contributing to the delinquency of motorcycle racers".... Serious stuff people...Keep your eyes peeled!!!

Dang... You guys are good! Yes, its an Iowa bike, from the Des Moines area... Pat, you hit the nail on the head. Josh was already in on it. I still have a few little fiddly things to do to it, but should be race ready in short order. The crank and rod are straight from powroll, as is the whole top end, so hopefully this thing will stay together for a little while. The rear of the frame loop is a little narrow so the upper ends of the shocks were mounted outside the mounts. I need to make different spacers to strengthen the mounting I think. Love the sound it makes... The guy who builds these does a great job, in fact the twin to this one is an xr500. It won its class by half a lap at the last mile race it was in. The guy builds and sells them if anyone is interested I can hook you up with him. I just hope the 4-stroke will get me more comfortable in the corners and I can try to get a little faster. Kyle#44x

Careful there Kyle, your telling everybody how big it is. Powroll top end=305cc. What's the stroker crank make it? Is that a "new" replica frame or on old one? Pat Orman. enjoy they're great little motors
