What is the track like? Is it a groove track w/hard surface? Is it banked much?
Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get my act together. This will be my first half mile and I want to get set up for it... providing my fork tubes are straightened in time!

Kyle, It is 1/2 mile (at least) long, smooth, fast, and will likely have a wide groove. I would call it medium to medium high banking.

Thanks Dan... Hope to see you and the gang there. Still waiting for a call from the machine shop on some parts.
Anyone know the sign in/practice/heat/main times? Going to be a long drive and I may travel with a first time racer, so we don't want to run late... The fair website says gates open at noon, features at 7pm?

Kyle,
Sign in: 10:00 (possibly earlier) Heats: 2:00 Mains: 6:30
Frank wants to start sign up by 9:00 if possible and the heat times may vary a little depending on when some riders get in from Castle Rock and our parade through town on the race bikes.

Holy #*&%! I'm glad I asked... I may have to drive up on Sunday and stay another night! I didn't know the parade was for race bikes... Mine is too ugly for that. Kyle#44x

I'm glad you asked too! The purpose of the parade is not so much to show off "pretty" bikes, but to show appreciation to all of the local sponsors for the races. It is going to be a very cool thing.

Thanks guys... I'm getting fired up now. After all I've heard about Stockton over the last few years, I finally get clearance to go! If my bike isn't race worthy after my band-aid repairs I'll just go and help a friend pit and watch the races. I'm sure there's lots of other fun things to do. If you catch the pig in the "Greased Pig" contest do you get to keep the pig?

I know quite a few GNC riders are skipping the Castle Rock races but heard chatter in the Billings pits that there were some making the trip out to Stockton. I hope that's the case and you guys have a great turnout! ;D

That fact that TCL has dreams of catching me and greasing me up just scares the daylights out of me!!! That is enough to make me go into hiding or witless protection! I guess I will have to bring my wife to Stockton this year to protect me.
