I am 26 years old, and have no experience racing. My motorcycle experience in general is limited. I have a 2009 KX250F, set up for MX. If I lower the suspension, and change the front wheel/tire, would I be able to race in the 250 class? What is the average age/am I too old?
Thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to read and help me out. I really appreciate it. I feel this has been something I've wanted to do all my life.

Also, I do remember asking a similar question sometime last year. At the time I wasn't sure about my work, and didn't have a bike. I apologize to those who answered before. I remember that I wanted to race a vintage bike, I like them a lot more. I thought I wanted a motocross bike, but now I know I want to be open throttle on the ground, not in the air.

You don't have to lower the bike or change the front tire in order to run in the 250 class. Now it is strongly recomended to do both but not mandatory. And yes at 26 years old you will fit right in with that class.
Thanks Mike

Am I allowed to take the front fender off? And what restrictions are there on the motor, exhaust, etc..?
