I received a call last night from a friend (and Jeno Babcock's cousin) informing me that Jeno was in an accident on his bike over the weekend (not sure if it was a street, dirt or race bike). I am told he was airlifted from Fall River to Wichita. He is at Wesley in ICU and I am told he had surgery yesterday. As I get more info I will pass it on. I'm sure you thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

Talking to Jeno right now. He broke 4 ribs on left side, scapula, hole in diaphram, opened chest on 1 side to plate 3 ribs, drainage tube in chest. He got out of ICU Tuesday. Sprained ankle but did not re-injure the healing broken leg. Probably concussion because he doesn't remember the wreck, being found or the trip to the hospital but does remember being airlifted to Wichita. He has been up and walking a little bit and feeling a little better each day. They are hoping to take the chest tube out tomorrow. He said to tell everyone thanks for the good thoughts and prayers.

I visited with Jeno for about an hour last night. They removed the drainage tube from his chest. He is looking really good and in pretty good spirits, considering! He said he thinks probably Monday or Tuesday he should be released to go home.

thank you to all who have shown&given me their support&prayers!i am doing a little better each day.i begin physical therapy on 5/14/12.im looking forwards to my road to recovery!im anticipting my return to racing &hopefully ill be back out on the track at the june races on the 15th&16th in wichita.thank you all again!look out my 150 class competion,im on my way back!  |
