Finally got fed up with being wrapped around Fiona like a monkey effin' a football. Ah, the joys of wrenching in the comfort your house & never having to get dressed! Should be a pretty simple build. Just get rid of the unnecessary stuff & factory restrictions. Dual sport tires & a little headlight. Only a tach, gear position indicator, low fuel light & manual oil pressure gauge for instrumentation. Home built pipe & a ratty tank, the trade mark of my past few builds. Simplicity at it's finest!

Cool Ray, you've got to have stones to tear apart a mint superbike.... You ain't the only one around riding hooligan bikes though. Word around the water cooler is there's some GPFTS racers running around on Italian built Tasmanian devils.... This is my 95 Monster. Brought back from the dead thanks to Craigslist, and elbow grease, and new wiring, and.....well you get the point. It's like riding a big block Chevy with a seat and two wheels. Josh

Nice bike Josh! Your taste min mc's is impeccable... I have one of those too, mine is like the economy version. M620 Fuel injected.. no room for passengers either. Ray what is your overall goal? Naked sport bike aka streetfighter like you like em?

Nice TJ... Let me know when those Duc's start flying south for winter! No doubt! Nice ducks, for sure! Josh, I've become comfortable hacking a bike to pieces. Seems like they're all about the same once they're broken into major components. Some just cost a lot more than others, lol! TJ, she's gonna be built up like Bonnie, my last street bike. But 60 more HP! Basically that's my interpretation of a modernized 'scrambler'. A nice street bike with just a hint of offroad capabilities. I don't like plastic & I don't like clip ons but I don't like any modern naked offerings so I make my own. When the asphalt stops, I don't want to!

I like your style Ray. Make your own road, leave the rest of them on the street.
It is amazing how fast those modern bikes come apart. I had a 2006 CBR600RR that went into my garage, within 45 minutes it was a frame, engine forks, pile of plastic and a wire harness spread out everywhere.
It wasn't a chop shop job either, a salvage bike that was bought for the engine to go into a mini sprint. Selling the engine covered the cost of the bike and the rest was profit.

Yeah, they're really pretty simple. I've come to prefer the late model machines to the vintage ones. Except for Nortons... Anyways. Here's the wheel set. First gen 636 BST Carbon Fiber front wheel from Bonnie, with ZX14R disks & Fiona's stocker rear. Shod with Dunlop D616 goodness.

Got the wheels in last night! Oh I can't wait.... Super sneak peek guys. Ya'll are the first ones to see these.... I usually build my own stuff but I wanted something a bit more extreme for Fiona than just regular 'ole dirty bars. Without a lathe, wire gun & jigs here in the basement, my fab abilities are rather limited. Those are 7&7 bars custom built to my measurements. She's gonna look EVIL!

Bars are FINALLY in! They're SICK... So now I've got a +6 clutch cable & custom Speigler lines coming due to the new bars extra height. Also fixed little things like super glue the cracks in the subframe's undertail & I'm almost done building a one off pipe.
