The last several years Jim Bell has put a lot time and hard work into the Barton County Fair races, Jim and his family dedicated many hours preparing a fun and safe race track.
Jim's father has been seriously ill lately and this, of course, has occupied most of Jim's time.
Jim, regretfully, notified the fair board and GPFTS that he will not be able to build the race track or have time to promote it, and since Jim is the driving force with the Great Bend track there will be no races at the Barton County Fair. Jim assures us that there will be races in 2012.
We are looking for another track to fill the Great Bend opening.
We owe Jim Bell and his family a big thank you for giving us a neat place to race. Keep Jim, his family and most of all his dad in your thoughts and prayers.
