Frank, Where do the XR/XLs Hondas fit into your program? How com you can run a XL350/491 four valve motor in the vintage singles with no carb restrictions but no 500 xls. You lost quite a few riders in the past few years! Also, was your tear down rule enforced last year? Couple of BIG Yamahas running in the single 600 class! Just wondering.

We had good turn-out in all the classes last year. Not every one wanted to play, but the ones who did put on a great show. The XR-XL- 500 will run in the OPEN CLASS. XL 350's will run in 600 or open class. Tear down rule was in place, no one protested. I don't know about other yamaha's but i Know for a fact that Gibsons yamaha is smaller than a 600. AGAIN, if you like the rules please come and play. If you don't we understand. Thanks Frank

Frank, Did i say anything about Gibson? As I was told" I don't appreciate being drug into other peoples battles"! Also I asked WHY can the 350/491 FOUR VALVE Hondas run in the 600 class when the XL/XR 500 is the same configuration (excluding mfg date) and can not? Hawbaker

Ok, here are the rules again: 600 vintage- no 1979 and newer xr500-xl500 engines. xl 350 older style ok. yamaha tt500 no larger than 600 cc ok. Open class is all size twins, including 883 hd's, xr 750's etc. Also SINGLES may run in this class as well. 1979 style xr500-xl500 stuff and tt500 of any size, xl350 etc may run in this class as well. I am looking to make full classes, thats my point. This class will have the largest purse most likely. If and only if a big sponsor steps up and wants to promote a twins class only, I will add that class . Money is very tight this year and i am trying to make the best with what we will have. This class has worked very well in Pomona the last couple of years and I believe it will be a hit for us. We put on this series to help keep this great sport alive, and we really hope you people can come and enjoy these great events. There's always something that is not good with every one, but keep in mind, last year for 3 days of racing we had over 450 entry's. very few problems and great racing. We paid out lots of cash, no whining by anyone and the fans loved it. I am pretty sure there is a class for everyone. Maybe you can't win them all, Thats Racin. Rotax's will ride in the rotax class, the pro open or the open modern am. class. Thanks frank

Sure seems like if you wanted a bigger class just add Rotax, I bet some of those 350's have more HP then my rotax. Of corse I cant really tell cause I can't hang with them long enough on just a TT 500 Thats OK though I will be there have fun as always.

There are several classes to ride your Rotax in. Ther is even a rotax class. A modern open am class or a pro open class. I believe that makes 3 classes. Rotaxs are not vintage in my world.( that's Frank the promotor's world) Please bring your Rotax and ride it where it fits in. Thanks Frank

Hey Frank thanks for giving us a place to race.Bring a twin the 1/2 mile really don't matter but you start getting smaller than that and a single going to run away with it.Be there anyway.

It should be a great test. Both Oberlin and Colby are high bank tracks which a twin can carry a lot of speed through the corners. I still maintain that the best rider with good equipment will win. Its going to be a race! New money is showing up daily so we will post purse very soon. The coolest thing is at this time, I know of over 20 people that could win the vintage open class. Keep in mind though, you can't win if you don't sign-up. Colby is going to pay very well, great race track. Call in sick and be there. Frank

Liked the Stockton track and even have eye glasses now which was my main problem last year, at least in the evenings. However.... We are attending the Pyrotechnic Guild International convention this year in WI at the same time, one week of pyro heaven up north where it's bound to be cooler. We'll miss Stockton and the other surrounding events . See you folks at GB, 81, and Lamonte if you're there.

BG-We will NOT be going to LaMonte, we have a ST at Jeeps Saturday night and a TT there Sunday (I was working on the track just last night). Stay in Wichita and ride 3 very different races in one weekend!

we will post payouts in the next week. We are working hard to raise monies. I am leaving SD after work tommorow and head to Stockton, oberlin and colby to help raise purse money. The vintage pro classes will probably pay 300 or more to win. Its just a little to early to know for sure. For sure the vintage 0-250 class will pay 500 to win at 2 different shows. Thanks and we hope to see ya there. Frank
