I am going to college right now at Hutchinson Community College, and began talking to my professor in my business class about racing and the fact about how this area of racing is slowly falling off of the map. Sadly. But we started to discuss ways of getting it back onto the grid. He says that everything is a business, therefore we could treat this as our own business. We began talking about advertising, and maybe getting a couple of the races televised. I no that this would be very difficult to do, and a very far shot, but do any of you guys think that it would be a good idea? There is a local Kansas station that my professor said they used to televise some of their college events that he thought we could use that would be a good start. My main question is, does anyone think that there would be enough businesses out there that would sponsor this? Personally I think that it would possibly make the sport on a local scale grow vastly in the number of people in the audience and rider count, and for the future events to come. Like I said this is just an idea, any kind of feedback would be really great. If you guys think that this would be a good approach to possibly take, I would say that the next step would be to start calling around to local bike shops and businesses and see if there would be enough funding to make it happen. If so, I would be more then happy to start calling around. Thanks
