"I spoke with Scotty Cook the promoter last night.
The Boone County fair race is a short track albeit a large one. They will run cars on this track the night after the bike races. A friend told me the track is a little bigger than the DuQuoin indoor short track which is plenty big and fast. There is a good dirt person in charge and they expect a great surface.
Scotty would like to improve the show by adding a vintage class. The rules would be simple, pre-1982 machines,no knobbies, riders must be 18, and not AMA card-carrying pros. Scotty is working on getting a good purse for the vintage group. I told him I would try and help.
If you'd like to call me and discuss sponsorship, please ring 573-717-0417. Also vintage riders who could come on this Tuesday night please contact me or post here on the forum.
The night after in Farmer City, IL there will be another short track with a vintage class. If you're able to travel mid-week it's a good start to the "fair circuit."
We'd like to get a good batch of vintage riders there to add to the program and to insure that we can have this venue back again next year.

. The next big CHASE bank (night job) push is on and I've got a ton of logos to cut. I wanted to be there for their 1st event, looks like not now. Be sure to post and let us know how it turns out!
