For those of you who knew Tom was having knee replacement surgery today I thought I would let you know that everything went very well this morning. Izaac and I saw him briefly after he was settled in his room this afternoon. He was still pretty groggy and in a considerable amount of pain, so we let him sleep and grabbed a bite to eat with my mom. We will go back tomorrow after the girls get out of school. He is expected to be there until Thursday. As I know more, I will keep you all updated.

Tom, Hope to see you back on two feet soon... From what I understand, they don't let you stay horizontal for very long after knee surgery nowadays.
Take care, Kyle#44x

Tammy, Is there a phone number for Tom? GCA Hey CG-thanks for asking. They put dad in some kind of contraption last night and he has to be in it 8 hours a day right now. He's in a considerable amount of pain so my mom asked that even I don't call him. When he is home and feeling a little better I will get you his number though. Until then I will do my best to update you all here.

My father had knee replacement surgery last fall. It was very rough going at first, but things are much better now! When you speak to him, tell him to hang in there!

Tell Tom to hang in there and act tough. I had my right knee replaced last August and am doing very well. The secret to speedy recovery is in the physical therapy and exercises. I try to ride my stationary bike every day that the weather is nasty and my mountain bike when the weather is good. Tom, the recovery process takes time, so don't rush it. Good luck.
