No pics, but it was pretty cool. Those guys really hook up with the studded tires! Looked like a blast... but could have been better with more bikes. There were lots of quads, including a GSXR 1000cc outlaw quad and a Harley v-twin quad. A local Topeka guy, other than Dustin, made the outlaw quad main and was running a solid 5th, but another guy ran his front wheel up under his fender and they were stuck. Maytaya got 3rd in the M/C main.

ICE only allows a certain amount of bikes into their shows. With the majority of the national guys running Neese's race in South Carolina on the same date it caused some conflict. Kevin Anderson (rode basic expert in 2008 taking a nasty spill at Indy) won the motorcycle main with Jake Mataya (national #29 making both GNC races in Topeka) taking 2nd and Kenny Moheler (former mechanic) was 3rd. It was definitely interesting the laps could have been longer, but it was a good turn out of people. I have some pics but I wasn't close enough to take magnificents ones. And I didn't pull my camera out until the 8 lap main event. The amateur quad main was brutal with those guys not having any studs in their tires.

Ooops! Looked like the guy got Mataya at the line from where I was at. That was a great battle for 2nd place! Guess I should have stuck around for the awards ceremony, eh? Kyle#44x
