I received the following email from Michele this morning:
We had a major setback at work last night – a fire started in our grain drying bin and we have major damage to our feedmill. We got the call at 2:00 this morning and the guys have been at work since then helping the fire department. It seems that we can’t win for losing this year. Dad looks horrible and of course we are all worried about him.
I’m guessing that it will just be mom and I and the boys coming Saturday. I’m sure if the guys aren’t harvesting they will be rebuilding our milling center.
Please keep them in your thoughts this week.

I just wanted to update everyone - the fire department finally left yesterday after 13 hours of battling smoldering grain. We have alot of rebuilding to do but feel fortunate that the explosion (that happened as a result of the fire) occurred at night when no one was in the feedmill. Equipment can be replaced - people can't. I had to stop Martin last night when he wanted to start the fireplace - I was sure that Mick had enough smoke and fire for one day. Michele

I'm glad nobody got hurt and the fire is out now. Good luck getting things back in order!
