Is the "Vet 40" class a vintage or modern bike class? Just wondering... Trying to figure out another class to ride next season. Charlie has a steel shoe now too, so might share bikes anyway. Kyle#44x

I'm glad Kyle asked about this class... I turn 30 next spring and my oldest daughter turns 10. If she rides with me can we ride the vet 40 class? Hey, it never hurts to ask. It's friday, and I'm in a goofy mood..... Josh Trail 29g

Ok, but she gets the throttle and you get the brake... I'm trying to remember what the guys who ran this class rode?? I know what Snyder was on... Kyle#44x Ps - Josh, Have you talked to your machinist about that top end? Shoot me an email, or I'll talk to you at Jeeps (if you are going).

Modern or Vintage in Vet 40

My understanding of the VET 40 class is it is open to everything as long as the rider is 40 years or older. I ride a 03 CRF450R and have competed against modern and vintage bikes in that class. Just because a bike is vintage does not mean it can not compete with the modern bikes. I have been beaten by vintage bikes and had close races with others.
See everybody Saturday at Jeeps

Cool... So its a "Vet 40 Open" kind of class. That leaves it wide open for a 2nd class for me to ride if I can get something together.
Brigitta... stop kidding around, you aren't 40 yet! ;D
See you guys at Jeeps.

British Ghost, I think the over 40 class is specific to the Stockton race. Frank Hardman is the promoter for this race. I’m not sure if the Great Plains Series will have a class similar to this. Cherrypicker or Randy will probably update on class structure when they get things sorted out. Stockton is a two day event that many of us attend. This was Frank’s first year promoting it and he’s making a few changes in classes for next year. In my opinion, the Open Amateur or the over 40 class is where a first year flattracker on a big twin would have most fun. There will be some serious bikes and some serious, experienced riders in the 750 class. As long as you have some races under your belt and are comfortable holding your line, this is an event you don’t want to miss! I won't be able to attend the party Have fun! #20m

Actually Brigitta, we offered a Vet 40 at all of the GPFTS events this season. Sorry to hear you won't be making the party Saturday.

All that typing.... I knew I should be doing some real work instead of thinking about racing! #20m
