Hey wasn't sure if people had heard that Sammy Sweet took a nasty spill at Springfield in the non qualifier dash for cash on Monday. He said somebody might have gotten into him and then was on the ground, he knows that while sliding into the bales Timmy Eades (who had an equally hard weekend) had nowhere to go and hit him. He has a broken pelvic bone, broken tailbone and something with his hip. The dr's had initially told him that if he could take 10 steps in the next few days then they'd release him if not they'd put a pin in the hip. Sammy took 3 steps yesterday morning and later in the afternoon he was able to scoot across the room. They are targeting Friday morning as his release day. If I hear anything else I'll post an update.
I'll be at the GNC in Indy, the AMP race in Ardmore and the GNC in Topeka with a donation bucket if anyone would like to make a donation to Sammy.

Thanks Nicalee. I had read that over on flattrack.com, but I don't know if everyone reads over there or not.

Sure no problem ;D
Sammy was released lastnight, he was waiting on Johnny Johnson's flight to come in so he could drive the transporter back to Texas with Sammy and his wife. So that is very good news!

Good for him! He sure seems like a cool guy, a very hard worker too. I couldn't believe all the work he did on the bikes in the pits at Stockton. Made me feel pretty lazy just sitting there in the shade watching him replace clutches, change fluids, clean/lube chains etc... but someone had to do it!
Glad he's on the mend!
