Me and the "Bul-Fighter" will be there along with Rob Goodwin (Kleineweber Team). Anybody else?
I've never raced there before... any suggestions?
Thanks Josh Trail 29g

I am pretty sure Mark Jantz and Jody Hale (and Chad Beckley??) are going. They just can't wait to race against my new favorite rider *17x* again. LOL
I would love to go and watch all the great racing, but we are loading up and leaving for some trail riding in beautiful Colorado tomorrow. It will be my daughters first year on her 80 out there and we will have passengers riding on 2 other gas tanks. Should be an adventure!
For everyone going to either Davenport, Springfield or both, have fun ride hard and be safe!

I'll have to pass on this one... but it's one that I've always wanted to go to! Maybe next year. I'm still having trouble with the "old faithful" 250, as anyone with ears who was at Jeeps could probably tell. Stockton took a heavy toll on the poor little thing...

Hi folks, My sportster is packed and ready for the trip. I'm leaving Kansas City 7am Thursday morning and riding up with 3 others. Maybe two since one of my buds got a spider bite night before last... I told him he will have it either here or there, so might as well ride if you feel descent. Looking forward to meeting those of you that go to Davenport! I'll be in the pits by practice time shooting pics and video, maybe racing this time next year. Should be a great week-ending, See ya there!

ohhh that pit man Dan is a funny guy. I put a training wheel on the outside of my bike like an outrigger canoe, no more falling down.... I can't wait to see the cool old bikes run, see you guys there.

Both bikes loaded, we leave in the morning. Mike Anderson will be riding the vintage bike for us #66g. The track is the smoothest and fans packed in the stands. Davenport is of the best for show and fan fare. We go on to Springfield Saturday.

Hey RN, You got the right guy on the handle bars. Wish I could be there. Tell Mike I said hey and good luck.
For the one's that haven't been there, The track is great with a lot of traction. It is FAST. Make sure you have gearing to run a big half mile, like Stockton. If I remember right the inside pole measured the same as Stockton. .5 mi.
Good luck to everybody thats going! I have been jonesing to get back on the bike. Maybe next year things will work out that I can get in a few races, Cody has been bugging me to go race.

Hey Scott thanks... That's the kind of info I was looking for. Looks like I'll put the road gears on. Hope to see you guys racing again soon. I still haven't forgotten your Hail Mary pass last year at Great Bend.... What a ride....

Davenport was great! Sorry cp, I can't give any actual race results. Ride up was real good and weather while there was perfect. Even my buddy with the spider bite rode up and really enjoyed the trip and races. I met getta20M, jantz49, and Jody 61, Jacobson 23, nice people and I thank them for sharing all the information. I tried to get some descent video but not sure yet how that came out.
Lost 4th gear on the sportster when leaving Davenport Saturday morning. That was the only bad thing this trip. I'm not sure yet what the damage is or will be to the wallet.

I'm suffering from post - Davenport depression. Seems to hit me every year.
Lots of fun and then....back to the same day to day grind.

I had a blast. We really could've used Tammy's organization and Randy's flagman skills. Their flagman had none..... Other than that it was great bikes and great fun. I can't say how everyone else finished but I finished 5th in the 250/350 class. Bill Snyder got 3rd in the same class. There was some heavy hitters there. I will definitely be making the trip again.

bg, sorry to hear about your sportster. Who needs 4th gear anyway? Glad the rest of your trip was good. Will we see you again at Odessa? BTW, you met some of our finest (well except for that #61 character). As for the rest of you, glad to hear your weekend was good as well. Thanks for the kind words about our show Josh. Brigitta, with regard to your PDD (Post Davenport Depression), imagine how I feel having to come back from trail riding in 70-80 degree, humidity free Colorado weather and get "back to reality?" We should all be as well off as Snyder. I believe he went from Jeeps to Colorado (trail riding as well) to Davenport. Rough life, eh??
