The GPFTS-Park City flat track racing series will be starting in a few weeks with a Sat. night, May 10, short track at the Jeeps Motorcycle Club in Park City, Kansas. This year as in the past several years the complete series is sponsored by the great people of the Park City Convention and Tourism Committee. Their very generous support to our series made the end of the year awards, the good looking heavy jackets, possible.
This year’s schedule includes the biggest purse ever paid at a GPFTS points race this race is part of the Dodge City 300 centennial celebration on July 4, the total unofficial purse for this event is $11,000, $2,000 to win the 450 Pro class, more details on this latter. There is one Fri.-Sat. double-header with a Friday night short track at Jeeps Motorcycle Club on July 18 and the following night the GPFTS racers return to one of the most popular tracks in Kansas at Clay Center for the Clay County Fair. Another popular event is the June 7 motorcycle double-header at Jeeps Club, all on one night a short track paired with a Super Cross race on the other side of the parking lot.
This is just a portion of the great racing that will be going on in Kansas this season; the I-70 series will be racing at some of the fastest and most historic tracks in the country. Check out the full Park City GPFTS and I-70 series schedule on gpfts.com.
