Make sure you keep June 2 on your calendar for the Montana Mikes Bullring Shootout at the Rush County Speedway in LaCrosse, Kansas. This will be a combined program with the 305 sprint cars of the URSS group.
Our combined show at Concordia on May 12 was a major success running with the mini-sprints, the promoters as well as the fans were very impressed with our racers, as well they should be, the Vintage Pro Twins main event was one of the best races you will ever see anywhere. One of the best things about the Concordia race was that we acquired some new fans of flat track racing that I’m sure we will see again. At LaCrosse the chances of that happening again will be greatly multiplied because the stands will be packed with race fans.
The promoter has some fun stuff planned for the evening, such a barbecue in the pits before the races, introducing all the riders on the front straight before their race (the fans want to know what makes you guys and gals tick), there is even a Dodge City style shootout, plus other surprises. This is one race you don’t want to miss.

Amateur motorcycles: Trophies, 1st, 2nd, 3rd (the promoter says, these are some of the nicest trophies he has seen)

Pro Quad: 1st $225, 2nd $80, 3rd $70, 4th $60, 5th $50 (minimum of ten riders)

Vintage Open Pro: 1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $100, 4th $70, 5th $50 (minimum of ten riders)

Just a couple of questions about the LaCrosse Vintage race.
1) Are we following the Great Plains rules as to age of rider and bike?
2) It's nice to see the Payout posted in advance, but, what will the Payout be if there are not 10 riders?

It's listed as non points race...but whatever happens, happens.

I know when this race was proposed we knew we were not going to run our standard classes so it could not be a points race. The Pro Quad class is a regular GPFTS class so in hindsight we could have paid points and we still can but we must be fair about it. I would like the input of Dusty, Justin, Jason and Allen, they are the only riders in this class that have been to two or more of our races. You can post your feeling on the forum, PM me or call me and let me know what you think, then I will let everyone know what is decided.

Joe, to answer your questions: GPFTS rules for vintage age and bikes will be used. If there are fewer then 10 bikes in a class the promoter is fair and will work with us, such as if we have 8 bikes we would just drop the pay out for 5th place.

The Amateur Open class is open to both modern and vintage bikes.

I have not heard from any of the Pro Quad riders as of Tuesday evening so the Open Pro Quad class will be a non GPFTS points paying race.

Remember, racers, you only get one chance to make a first impression on future fans, this Sat. night will go along way in determining if we have another track to race at in the future.

we have been racing with u all for years.. n we finally get another rider for our second quad to get the bike count up n we r running for points as well.. Pretty sad all u gotta race is wichita n jeeps to stay in points n not hafta come too all of the races..

Memory serves me right you have not raced all the races this year either so don't know why your worried about points? I know I have not this year blew both tires off the bead the second and race and had MX races the other one. Don't know how you can call it a points race when you only are running 3 different classes. To me it doesn't matter my points got screwed up right off the bat. If I can get away from Harvest I will be there.
