I have a new to me tt540, would like some idea what gearing to run this weekend at 81 and jeeps. Any help would be great. I need to borrow some sprockets before I leave town.
Thanks Bob

Bob, I am not sure what is on my front but I think it is a 15. I always start with a 48 but sometimes go to 49 on the rear.

At 81 I start at 15/48 then switch to a14/48 for jeeps. It will get you in the ball park. If you plan to go to norton and stockton a 16 counter shaft sprocket is a must.

One tooth on the yamy thumpers is about 500 rpm. One tooth on the counter shaft is about the same as adding or subtracting 3 teeth on the rear sprocket. Hope that this helps.

I run the same gearing on Jeeps that I do on 81. 3rd gear at Jeeps and 4th at 81.
