QUOTE: Live Timing got weird at that time too. It showed the checkered flags with Toon as the winner for a good handful of seconds before it suddenly dropped Toon to fourth. I assumed that live timing displayed the checkered prior to the riders crossing the line and there must have been an exciting bit of last moment drafting, is this not the case?
Did anybody see the finish of the Sunday Pro race at Springfield ? I was all excited, whistling a "Toon" as Live Scoring had Mike in first place with the checkers showing. Then suddenly it dropped him to fourth place.
Fourth or first, either way - Michael, you make us proud! I watched Live Scoring from practice through the race, you just kept getting faster! Congratulations!

Colt and Aaron were there too. Thanks guys! It is so much fun to have racers from our region to cheer for.

Sounds like he had it in the bag but something happened in turn 4 on the last lap... Dang! Sure wanted him to continue his string of wins on the mile. Great job, Mike!

He did not win, but it was a battle right down to the wire. He DID, however, win his heat race though, which live timing also did not record correctly. He even came up for his post race interview and was turned away because of the live timing error. And I'm not just being biased, I was in the announncers tower with Nicalee as we were helping Scottie Deubler, we all 3 saw the same thing on the heat race.
