Jody was pretty badly injured yesterday at Waco in the twins class.He apparently high sided in turn one and hit very hard.He is in the hospital in Texas with 8 broken ribs,punctured lung and broken shoulder.I,m sure he could use all our prayers for a speedy recovery.You all know what a tough old bird he is.Would'nt let them take him to hospital till they started heading for home and he started having trouble breathing.

Mark tell Jody we are all pulling for him, you know he is my hero. I know he is ready to get out of the hospital Ill bet this is a real treat for his nurses. Keep us posted...........Tom

Jody, Jake and I both send our love and prayers your way. I still have a little, barely noticible scar where they inserted a tube for a punctured lung. When you get better, I'll show you mine if you show me yours.  Brigitta |

On behalf of the family, thanks for the well wishes. As all of you know, the 2nd and 3rd days are when you find sore spots you did'nt know existed. He was having some heart issues earlier in the day also and they have that corrected. Looks like a couple more days in ICU at this point. Maybe a release by Saturday for a road trip to Ozark. Already making plans for velcro on the seat and grips for Pikes Peak in June. Again, thanks for the prayers.

Jody made it home sunday after basically spending a week in ICU in FT WORTH.He's going to have a long recovery time I'd say by the sound of things.Would probably love to hear from folks after he gets settled in.Sounds pretty rough right now so might want to give him a day or two.Hoping for a speedy recovery and to see him back on the scooters soon.
