-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am putting together a "basket case" 1988 Suzuki RM80 dirt bike for Cody to play ride. The engine had been rebuilt and put together when I got it. I have a new CDI, Coil and a Stator that checks to specs. With everything installed and grounded according to the Clymer manual, we get no spark from the coil and no voltage to a meter. If we take the ground off the coil, we don't get spark, but we do get some voltage to a meter.
Has anyone encountered such a problem? What is the solution?
All suggestions will be appreciated....... Joe

No. We have the manual AA in electronics and still can't get it fixed. I have spoke with a mech that went through everything with us and is out of ideas also. We're hoping someone has had a similar problem. Scott

Joe, I don't know anything about those CDIs but if you have to buy parts or ignition to fix it give me a call. There might be another ignition[cheap] that will work on those. Pat Orman.
