Great job Michael! Found this on the web: Michael Toon was the surprise winner in the history making AMA Pro Singles final. The Blue Springs, Missouri rider pulled out his two best laps of the race at the finish. He held off a gaggle of riders, the lead pack being nine-riders deep. It marked the first national level win for the Price Truck Line/Kennedy Tire Honda rider.
“It may have looked like I waited until the end to open up the throttle,” Toon said. “but I guarantee you I had the thing pegged the entire race. With that many riders drafting together that was the most intense race I’ve ever been in.”
Behind Toon came James Rispoli on his Weirbach Racing/Barnett Honda. His second-place finish gave the New York rider the Pro Singles series lead.
History came into play by way of third place Shayna Texter on the Lancaster Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle Suzuki. It marked the first time in anyone’s memory that a female rider scored a podium finish in a national-level dirt track race.

Way to go Michael. I didn't stay for the mile on Sunday, but now I wish I would have. I'll have to stick around on Labor Day.
Conratulations. Way to "show em" you young Missouri Kid.

Big Daddy 650R
Thanks for noticing. Jerry Cheney and I had a great race. I was parked on his side or his rear fender the whole event. Last corner, last lap he chose low, I went high around Jerry and two lappers with one good twist of the throttle. Wish I would have ventured up there earlier. It was tacky and fast. Made for a fun finish though.
Jerry helps me with my program and is a super guy. Hard to catch him not smiling. He traditionally whips up on me. Maybe not this year. We'll see.
The TT track was the bomb. It was probably the most fun you could have on a motorcycle. My TNT Honda was perfect there.
Can't wait to go back.
See you all at LaMonte.
