Friends, Saturday the 28th is a very BIG day for us. The best flagman in the world, 'ol Randy Koster, is working hard for us again as usual! He along with Tom Carlisle and his extended family, Dan and Tammy Heeb are working feverishly to rescue the season for us. And.... what's this now? HUH? you say Lori and Ashley will be back too!!?? All these great people just for us!!?? So we have the Jeeps races, Stockton, and I'm understanding that some previously scheduled races are in the works again as well as some other new stuff! Sounds great to me!! And here I thought we were done for sure. Well, again I say a BIG day for us racers as it's pretty obvious to me that a weak turnout of riders for this first Jeeps race could stop the whole thing before it gets started again. Tom Laird can you round up Leo, Dennis, and the rest of the Cornhusker gang, including Jake and everyone's favorite racer, getta 20m? I know Bomber will be on Pike's Peak. Mark Jantz, it would be great to see the Ozark guys again. Bring a Hale or two with you. Bob Chenault, will we have the Wichita boys there? Mike, Bart, and how about the King himself? LET'S GET BACK TO HAVING FUN AGAIN, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

I can't speak for all the Cornhusker gang, but I'll be there with the Bul Fighter. I know Jake and 'Getta are going to DuQuoin(sp?). I think there may be some others thinking about it. I know I'd love to hang with the King if he'd bring that sweet Norton out. Looking forward to this weekend, see you guys there.

PS, My ol' buddy Bomber is loopy enough down here at 1,000 ft. elevation. What's he like at 10,000 ft??? Just Joshin' ya Bomber....... Have fun and be careful!!

Hey G.C.!
Sorry, we're going to miss Jeeps on the 28th. Someone has to keep an eye on Mark and Jodi at Duqoin. We appreciate everything Randy, Tom, Dan, Tammy and everybody else who has jumped on the bandwagon is doing to keep flattrack alive and well in the Midwest. We will do our best to attend the other Jeeps races as well as Stockton. I've seen the Jeeps track and am anxious to go racing on it!
There is talk about possibilities for other races on nice tracks in Nebraska in the future. Talk from people who can make it happen! We might have to get everybody together to keep things coordinated. Flattrack racing in the Midwest lives on!
Everybody racing at Jeeps have a good time! Wish we could be in two places at once.

Hey G. C.
You are exactly right. Its time to start having some fun again.Sounds like our Nebraska friends are trying to get a head start on us at Eagle.I sure hope that race works into our summer schedule.Sounds like fun.How was the track, since you were sharing it with the cars? I thought it might be pretty ridged up.Well, like Brigitta said,Jody,THE OZARK WILDMAN,Chad Beckley and myself are planning on racing the vdtra race at Du Quion this Sat. but I told Chad today that if the weather was questionable in Ill. but looked good in Wichita we may have to rethink our plan. We definately want to support our good friends out there in the flatlands.I sure miss seeing all of you on a regular basis and especially the racing.Getting fat and lazy so we need to get back at it.Everybody be careful and hope to see you all soon!

I will also be checking the weather and making decisions based on that. We’ve made one long distance race trip this year in defiance of the forecast-won’t be doing that again. Mark, The motorcycle racers made the decision that we would not go out if the track at Eagle looked to rough or unsafe. The idea behind Saturday night was to get car fans interested in coming to see us. If we couldn’t put on a good show there was no point. Things were looking good and we went to suit up but then they ran the modifieds with skinny tires. A couple of racers decided not to run. The good news is that somebody was on top of things and sent a sprint car out to brush off the track. Tom gave us about four laps to get familiar with the track before we lined up for the race. That was enough time for even me to figure out that the upper half was very racey. This track has very wide corners measured from bottom to top. There were multiple race lines and we were moving. I entered corner one low a couple of times and found some ruts. That was interesting. It was my own mistake and I only had to repeat it twice before deciding not to do that any more. All in all it was fun and fast. On July 27th we will be racing with the fat-tired midgets. The other racers have been telling me this will make a nice track. I sure hope so; this track has great potential for fantastic motorcycle racing. #20m

Yes for all races at Jeeps the entry fee will be $25.00 for all classes. There will be no pit pass or membership fee, but everyone will pay $8.00 to get in the front gate. See you all Saturday.
At the Aug 16th 17th race we will be having a FREE pancake and sausage breadfast from 7AM to 9AM Sunday morning. Then at 9AM the Christion Motorcycle Assocation will have a short service. Sign-in then starts at 10AM for the race on Sunday. Everyone is welcome.

Thanks all. I'll be there for the 150 class. Maybe I have a chance for a trophy since 20M won't be there.

Well.......... It looks like I might get a little wet. I have decided the south route looks to have the best chance of staying dry. If you Missouri guys see a silver ST1300 parked under an overpass somewhere along highway 60, it is probably me putting on my rain gear!
