Kansas really doesn't have any indoors to race in the winters. There's 2 series in Oklahoma that some of the riders come down and ride if they can get away long enough. All is relatively quiet in the winter months, around here.

Its a different kind of cold here in Kansas... waaaaay too cold to ride!
Every now and then we get a decent day though. The last couple of weekends I've been going riding with my neighbor. Just trails and hills, but boy has it been a workout for me. My neighbor is like the terminator on that big bore KTM, so chasing him on my old 73 Yam 250 is quite a workout. Not near the workout I got last weekend when we swapped bikes... I can ride a long time on my old 250, but about an hour on his bike was all I could do!
I'll be back out there tomorrow getting in shape for this season... Ya hear that, Bill! ;D
Has anyone been going down to Amp's races? I see the Yahoo races will be starting up in Tulsa soon too....

i see, man we all need an indoor series!! That would be bad ass!!
Nick, I used to have a bike to go do woods or mx, man i was in the best shape for racing when i could go woods/ trail riding! Mx was just fun, but their is no way I would race mx!
So is their alot of local races in Kansas is the warm months?

I made it down to AMP's race last weekend, and I didn't even hold a clipboard ALL NIGHT!! (though if I had, 81g would have finished 2nd in that last race *sorry, had to get that dig in Nicalee, LOL! Poor guy, he took it well.*)
Hey Kyle, it was good riding today out at Jeeps. They were prepping for Sunday's 6 hr/2 man hare scramble.
JJ96, hopefully there will be about 12-14 races in the Kansas area from April-September. (though I can't guarantee all of those races to be *warm*)

We've had two nice days with temperatures in the upper 50s, but we've had snow, so the ground is a combination of ice, mud and water. I thought I had a nice dry patch to practice starts for the Casper indoor...I didn't. Guess what I'll be doing on the last pleasant day in the forecast? Washing mud off my bike.

Getta don't feel bad, I got my new boots and jersey muddy too and caused dad some work on his rear tire after my ride with the kiddos. ooops! (good thing I'm his favorite daughter, eh?)

Saturday was awesome! Warm and sunny... but the creeks (or is that "crick" araound here?) were soooo sloppy, with ice under the muck. I had a blast and was covered with the muck until I got wore out and had a run in with a tree. Had to straighten the forks between a couple of trees... lol! Nice to get out and enjoy the weather while it lasts... Kyle#44x

He really did get 3rd place at the line. I've bought him dinner, he stole my Mountain Dew...I told him to ask AMP for a different scorer during his race.

You know I'm just giving you a hard time Nic. You and your mom do a great job. And he shouldn't be stealing your Mt Dew. he's IN TRAINING now!!! He won't ask for a different scorer because then he'd have no one to blame!
